UNIFORM POLICY
Uniform Policy for Healthcare Workers at StellarNurses Recruitment Agency
Purpose: The purpose of this policy is to ensure that all healthcare workers at StellarNurses present a professional and consistent image to patients, visitors, and colleagues.
Scope: This policy applies to all healthcare workers, including doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, and other clinical staff.
Uniform Standards: All healthcare workers are required to wear a uniform while on duty. The uniform must be clean, well-maintained, and worn in a professional manner.
The following items are required as part of the uniform:
- Scrub tops and trousers (colour as specified by StellarNurses)
- Full tunic
- White lab coat (with name badge)
- Closed-toe shoes (white or black)
- No jewellery or watches
- Hair must be tied back
Name Badges: All healthcare workers are required to always wear a name badge with their first name and last name. The name badge must be worn in a visible location, such as on the tunic or scrub top.
Personal Appearance: Healthcare workers are expected to always maintain a clean and well-groomed appearance. This includes maintaining a safe and hygienic appearance, avoiding excessive perfume or cologne, and avoiding excessive make-up or jewellery.
Compliance: Compliance with this policy is a condition of employment at StellarNurses. Any healthcare worker found to be in violation of this policy may be subject to disciplinary action.
Exceptions: In certain situations, such as during a patient’s surgery or procedure, different attire may be required as per department’s protocols. Such situations will be communicated and informed by the department head.
Review: This policy will be reviewed on an annual basis and updated as necessary.
