The purpose of this policy is to provide a clear and consistent approach to recruitment across StellarNurses Recruitment Agency. It outlines the procedures and responsibilities for recruiting new staff, and ensures that all candidates are treated fairly and with respect.

  1. Scope

This policy applies to all recruitment activities carried out by StellarNurses Recruitment Agency, including the recruitment of permanent and temporary staff, internships, and volunteers.

  1. Recruitment Process
  • Job vacancies will be advertised internally and externally, as appropriate.
  • All candidates will be required to complete an application form and submit a CV, and may be required to attend an interview, complete a test or provide references.
  • The selection process will be based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and suitability for the role.Interviewers will be trained to avoid discrimination and to assess candidates fairly.
  • All candidates will be informed of the outcome of their application, whether successful or unsuccessful.

The Recruitment Team is responsible for implementing this policy and for ensuring that all recruitment activities are carried out in accordance with it.

Managers are responsible for ensuring that vacancies are filled in a timely and efficient manner, and that the selection process is fair and objective.

All staff are responsible for ensuring that they do not discriminate against any candidate and for reporting any concerns about discrimination to their manager or the Recruitment Team.

This policy will be reviewed on an annual basis and updated as necessary.

  1. Compliance

Compliance with this policy is a condition of employment at StellarNurses Recruitment Agency.

 

REGISTRATION PROCESS:

During the registration process, the candidate will be introduced to StellarNurses Policies and processes as well as the Agency Worker Handbook. The following is to be noted:
Agency Workers to be deployed in the provision of services need to be aware that at all times whilst on a Client’s premises that they:
1) are under the direction and control of the Client at all times
2) must work as directed by the Client and follow all reasonable requests, instructions, policies, procedures.
3) shall carry out promptly and diligently a required task within the terms of the engagement
4) shall abide by the Working Time Regulations 1998 and where applicable, New Deal requirements
6) shall not act in a manner reasonably likely to bring discredit to the Client, or StellarNurses.
7) shall not falsify records, timesheets, and expenses, and maintain legible writing for all entries.
8) shall observe the highest standards of hygiene, customer care, courtesy and consideration whilst at work
9) shall keep confidential information howsoever acquired whether relating to the Client, its business or relating to patients, including but not limited to patient identity, clinical conditions and treatment
10) shall be able to communicate effectively with other staff, healthcare workers, patients, carers and the general public
11) shall be punctual, and conduct duties in an ethical manner
12) Whilst on duty, shall be presentably dressed in uniform, with photo ID badge visible, and use protective clothing appropriately where required.
